Domestic shipping

We offer shipping within Denmark using trusted local carriers to ensure your order arrives safely and promptly. All orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 1–2 business days.

You will receive a confirmation via email with tracking details as soon as your package is on its way.

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your location and the size of your order.

International shipping (EU)

We offer international shipping to most destinations within Europe. All orders are carefully packaged and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Delivery times vary depending on your location but typically range between 4–10 business days.

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation via email with tracking information.

International shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size of your order.

Please note that orders are shipped DDU (delivery duty unpaid). Customs duties, taxes, or import fees may apply depending on your country's regulations — these are the responsibility of the customer.

General

Orders are shipped to the address provided at checkout, so please ensure that all details are correct before placing your order. If you need to make any changes, contact us as soon as possible at info@mathildehecht.com after completing your purchase. Once your order has been processed and shipped, we may not be able to make adjustments.

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, or if it is unclaimed, the customer will be responsible for any additional shipping fees incurred for re-delivery.

Damaged deliveries

We take great care in packaging our artworks to ensure they arrive safely. However, if your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please provide the following to info@mathildehecht.com:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the damage

  • Clear photos of the damaged artwork and packaging

We will do our best to find a solution — whether that means a replacement or refund — depending on the specific case.

Please note that any visible damage to the packaging should be documented upon receipt, as it may help with the claims process with the shipping provider.


Returns

We hope you are happy with your purchase, but if for any reason you are not, you are welcome to return your artwork within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the artwork must be in its original condition and original packaging. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the return is secure for shipment.

Please notify us at your earliest convenience prior to returning the artwork at info@mathildehecht.com with a clear explanation for the return and, if relevant, proper photo documentation.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to the artwork being damaged.

Once we have received and inspected the returned artwork, we will notify you about the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within a few business days. Damaged returned artworks will not be accepted.

Please note: We do not accept returns on made-to-order artworks.


Other

We strive to represent each artwork as accurately as possible through our photos — capturing the textures, tones, and details true to real life. However, if you would like to see more images or a specific angle before making a decision, feel free to reach out to us at info@mathildehecht.com.

Please note that each piece is created using sand — a natural and organic material. Because of this, slight variations and subtle imperfections may occur. These are not considered flaws, but rather a reflection of the material's raw beauty and the uniqueness of the handmade process.

MATHILDE HECHT is registered as a sole proprietorship with a Danish business ID (CVR).
The business is currently not VAT registered and therefore, all prices are stated without VAT.
