Dhūma is the Sanskrit word for smoke. It evokes the ephemeral, the intangible — the way form dissolves into formlessness. Smoke rises, shifts, disappears. It holds no fixed shape, yet leaves a lingering presence in the air.
In my work, Dhūma symbolizes transition and subtle movement. The unseen energies.
This piece invites still observation. A space where matter softens, boundaries blur, and a sense of quiet transformation takes place.
Made with sand, pigments & binder on cotton canvas.
Measurements: W 50 x H 60 x D 2 cm
